Description
This 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S coupe is powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and is finished in silver over Classic Grey leather upholstery. Equipment includes 18″ Turbo Twist wheels, the Motor Sound Package, a sunroof, air conditioning, cruise control, and power-adjustable front seats. Modifications include aftermarket suspension components, Aerokit bodywork, a Rothsport Racing billet short shifter, a Fister Stage II Sport exhaust system, carbon-fiber dashboard trim, and a Porsche-branded stereo with navigation. The car was finished in Arena Red from the factory and was repainted in its current shade of silver by Precision Collision Repair of Wake Forest, North Carolina, in 2015. Aerokit bodywork was fitted under prior ownership and includes a revised front spoiler, rear wing, and side skirts. Additional exterior details include a sunroof, headlight washers, fog lights, power-adjustable side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets with aftermarket oval tips. The Carfax report shows accident damage to the left-rear, rear, and right-rear in May 2004. Ceramic coating was applied in November 2019, and exterior blemishes are pointed out in the gallery below. Hollow-spoke 18″ Turbo Twist wheels are wrapped in 225/40 front and 285/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires showing 2020 and 2021 date codes, respectively. Braking is handled by cross-drilled rotors paired with Porsche-branded calipers at all four corners. Modifications to the suspension system include the following: KW V3 coilover shocks with E-Motion Engineering springs, Front camber plates, Front and rear RS sway bars and bushings, Front inner and outer RSR tie rods, Rear toe links, Bump steer correcting tie rod kit. The power-adjustable front seats are trimmed in Classic Grey leather, while carbon-fiber trim accents the dashboard. Equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, a Porsche-branded stereo with navigation, JL Audio speakers, and power windows and locks. The seller states that the car is also equipped with a Rothsport Racing billet short shifter, a radar detector, and front and rear cameras. An additional set of Porsche-branded floor mats are included in the sale and can be seen in the gallery. A replacement leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as a 180-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 50k miles. The air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six features a VarioRam intake system and was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. The car was optioned with the Motor Sound Package. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. A Fister Stage II Sport exhaust system has been fitted along with Fabspeed Motorsport high-flow catalytic converters. The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident damage and lists history in North Carolina, Kentucky, Nevada, and Colorado.
