With the use of Magnesium on the roof and carbon fiber used for the engine and luggage compartment lids allowed the 991.1 GT3 RS to trim ten kilograms, this pared to the revised four liter flat six now with rear side air intakes, allowed the 991.1 to produce 500hp, This allowed the GT3RS to lap the Nuerburgring Nordschleife in seven minutes and 20 seconds, the new 911 GT3 RS surpasses the 911 GT3 by five seconds!
