Description
The Porsche 356 C Coupe is a classic sports car produced by the German automaker Porsche. It was the final iteration of the Porsche 356 model line and was manufactured from 1964 to 1965. The "C" in its name signifies several improvements and refinements over its predecessors. The materials used throughout the cabin were more luxurious than previous models. This example left the factory on in February1964. After initial ownership, it was shipped to Holland on the 18th of December 1996. The bodywork has had extensive paint restoration carried out in August 2017. The vehicle has received regular and recent service inspections carried out at David Phillips Autos, based in Edinburgh. We welcome any inspection of the vehicle, and the sales team is on hand to take you through everything including the paperwork, supplied file, a tour of the vehicle, and a mechanical inspection on a ramp with a technician. Key features and characteristics of the Porsche 356 C Coupe include: Engine: This 356 C is supplied with the 1.6-liter flat-four engine. This engine offered improved performance and reliability over earlier models, making it a popular choice among enthusiasts. Body Style: The 356 C Coupe featured the iconic Porsche design with its distinctive sloping roofline, curvaceous fenders, and a classic rear-engine layout. It was a two-door coupe with seating for two or, optionally, for two additional small rear seats. Performance: The 356 C was known for its sporty and responsive driving dynamics. It had a well-balanced chassis and handling characteristics, making it a joy to drive on winding roads. Interior: The interior of the 356 C Coupe was typically simple and driver-focused. It featured basic instrumentation and comfortable, supportive seats. Classic Styling: The 356 C Coupe retained the timeless and elegant styling that Porsche was known for. It was a reflection of the brand's design heritage and continues to be highly regarded among classic car enthusiasts. Collector's Item: The Porsche 356 C Coupe is a sought-after collector's item today, known for its classic design and historical significance. Well-preserved and restored models often command high prices in the classic car market. The Porsche 356 C Coupe is considered a classic and an important part of Porsche's history, representing the end of an era and the transition to the iconic Porsche 911, which would go on to become one of the most recognizable sports cars in the world.
