Often referred to as the “sweet spot” of the 911 lineup, the GTS strikes the perfect balance between everyday usability and high performance. Now, with the introduction of Porsche’s all-new T-Hybrid system, the GTS has entered a new era of performance and efficiency.
At its heart is a 541 bhp flat-six, boosted by a smart hybrid system designed to enhance performance without compromise.
A compact 1.9kWh battery (weighing just 27kg) is tucked neatly under the front bulkhead, preserving the full practicality of the front luggage compartment.
Two electric motors assist the combustion engine: One, integrated into the 8-speed PDK gearbox, delivers an extra 55 bhp and 110 lb-ft of instantaneous torque for blistering acceleration. The second, a smaller 14 bhp motor, is dedicated to pre-spooling the turbocharger which eliminates lag.
Gone are the twin turbos of the previous generation, replaced by a single, larger turbocharger that’s electrically assisted for rapid response. The result? A car that feels naturally aspirated in its throttle delivery, yet offers the power and torque of a modern turbocharged performance car.
