Lighting and vision

As ParkAssist (front and rear) including reversing camera, but also featuring a 360-degree surround view generated from the images of four high-resolution cameras enabling even greater comfort when manoeuvring. A junction view (from front and rear of vehicle) provides assistance at more complex exits. Images are displayed on the screen of Porsche Communication Management (PCM).

Alerts the driver to vehicles rapidly approaching from behind or vehicles travelling at the same speed in potential blind spots. The warning is emitted by lights in the exterior mirrors. The function is activated by the driver using Porsche Communication Management (PCM) and is available from approximately 15 km/h – 250 km/h. Below this speed range, Turn Assist (rear) also comes to the driver's aid by monitoring the area to the rear of the vehicle in turning situations

Lane Change Assist (Blind spot monitoring)

Radar- and video-based technology that monitors and automatically regulates the distance from the vehicle in front as required – even down to a halt by means of the stop-and-go function (selectable cruising speed range: 30 km/h–210 km/h). Emergency Stop function: Brings the vehicle to a halt (subject to system limitations) if the driver fails to respond (e.g. due to health reasons). If the vehicle detects an absence of driver activity, it uses visual and audible warnings, a brief tightening of the seatbelt and if necessary a jolt of the brakes to attempt to prompt the driver to resume control of the vehicle. Should this be unsuccessful, after a moderate delay the vehicle will come to a halt in the lane, activate the hazard warning lights and trigger a call to the emergency services. The distance warning is able to detect a safety hazard due to following too close and warns the driver in a vehicle speed range from approx. 65 – 250 km/h (40 – 156 mph) by displaying the symbol on the instrument cluster. Additional functions through the standard collision and brake assist when danger of collision is detected: - reversible occupant protection measures (even if the driver's emergency braking is detected)
